Client Johar Abu Lashin is a fellow horseman and champion boxer.

Welterweight boxing champion Johar Abu Lashin, a Palestinian-Israeli born in Nazareth recently visited me to discuss collaborating on projects to tell his story.  Johar was the subject of the 2002 documentary “Raging Dove” which is featured regularly on LinkTV.

Now an American citizen my new friend has named me as his publicist and agent.   I look forward to helping him tell the story of his efforts to win the hearts of his fans in both Israel and Palestine, and effect a positive dialogue for his people using the sport of boxing.   Also a horseman, we have many things in common.

Expect beautiful things of this new partnership.  I’ll keep you posted!

Dear Allison,
Do not know Johar, but have a close Israeli friend- he is married to one of my best friends – that represented Israel a few times in boxing in the Olympics who probably does. He works as a healer and does massage and is quite involved in the fitness -wellness routine of some of Israel’s best known athletes. Aaron grew up in Upper Nazareth, the mostly Jewish suburb of Nazareth. Ask Johar if he knows a boxer called Aaron Yaacovshvilli – now Yaacovi.
As we have successfully built an incredible Arabian horse community in Israel and the Palestinian territories that crosses all cultural and political lines, I have no doubt that Johar can use boxing as a “hook” to connect people here on a human level.
As long as people are psssionate about it, they can form a community around it.
Sounds like a great project.
Good luck with it.
Tzviah

Dear Tzviah,

I’m fairly certain that Johar grew up in a Palestinian area of Nazareth. But boxing is a small world and I’m sure he knows of your friend. I’ll certainly pass along the comment to him so that he can join our budding dialogue. Thank you so much for “stopping by” to say hello!

Blessings to you!
Allison
